The European Federation of Biotechnology
The European Federation of Biotechnology (www.efb-central.org) is the non-profit association of all National and Cross-National Learned Societies, Universities, Institutes, Companies and Individuals interested in the promotion of Biotechnology throughout Europe and beyond. The European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB) was established in 1978 with the objective of promoting biotechnology for the better use of Nature's resources. EFB is currently initiating activities to assess and develop opportunities for cooperation and strategic relations in the field of biotechnology between the European Union and major countries and regions such as China, South East Asia and South-America.

BioCat
Biocat (www.biocat.cat) is the biocluster organization, fostered by the Government of Catalonia (Spain), and composed of companies and public research institutions, that promotes biotechnology and biomedicine in Catalonia. Its goals are facilitating networking among the different stakeholders, fostering biotechnology as a key economic driver for the country, promoting Catalonia biotechnology at the world stage and informing and contribute to a better understanding and perception of biotechnology.

ICRISAT
International Crops Research Institute for Semi Arid Tropics (www.icrisat.org) is a non-profit and non-political organization that does innovative agricultural research and cpacity building for sustainable development with a wide array of partners across the globe. ICRISAT’s mission is to help empower 600 million poor people to overcome hunger, poverty and a degraded environment in the dry tropics through better agriculture. ICRISAT belongs to the alliance of centers of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).
